About Us

It started as a craft for a birthday party…then a back-to-school pair…a business was born. Nicole-Leigh Designs was the encouragement of friends to go into business after they saw flip flops I made for myself and my daughter, Chelsea. I started full force, then a full time job and life got in the way so not much was done for a while. My job became part-time and it was the kick needed to start making all of the designs in my head and get online.

I have always been a shoe lover. A girl can never have enough shoes. Thinking back to graduate school, I took a class called “Entrepreneurship.” We had to select a business and write a business plan. My business was a discount shoe store.

So, how did I decide to call our company Nicole-Leigh Designs? The name is to honor two of the founders, Chelsea and Jenna, my daughters. After much consideration, it was agreed that a combination of their middle names would be used.

Each pair of Nicole-Leigh Designs’ flip flops is hand made by Dana Johnston. Only quality flip flops made from 100% rubber and imported from Brazil are used for durability and comfort.
